Program Proposals for Library-Sponsored Events
Ridgewood Public Library (RPL) welcomes proposals for unbiased, non-partisan programs that support our mission. Please check our program policy for details. If your program doesn’t meet our policy, a room rental may be more appropriate.

What You Need to Know About RPL-Sponsored Programs
- Your event needs to be free and open to the public.
- You’ll need to allow at least four months before the program date for library planning and publicity (see chart.)
- You may not sell products or services during presentations at the Library. However, with prior arrangement, we may allow the sale of works by presenters such as books or music immediately before or after the presentation with the library receiving 20% of proceeds.
Programming Schedule
Programs are accepted based on the following schedule. Programs are considered on a first come first served basis. Applications submitted after the deadline will be considered for the following quarter.
- Winter: December, January, February
- September 15
- Spring: March, April, May
- December 15
- Summer: June, July, August
- March 15
- Fall: September, October, November
- June 15
