February is Reading Marathon month!

The Reading Marathon is a wonderful fundraiser that helps to foster a love of reading at school and home, while also raising valuable funds for the Friends Foundation of the Ridgewood Public Library to purchase books and media, as well as science, art and cultural programs for all ages.

Reading Marathon Kick-off: K-Pop Demon Hunters Sing & Dance-Along

We’re gonna show you how it’s done, done, done as we dance and sing while watching K-Pop Demon Hunters and chow down on some tasty snacks. You know together we’re glowin’; we’re gonna be, gonna be golden! Please register with child’s name and grade.

Monday, February 2, 4 to 6 pm

Wednes-DIY (January sessions)

Catch the bug — the creative bug! Stop by the teen room for some drawing challenges, origami folding, card making — whatever your creative journey may be. No experience needed. Available while supplies last.

Wednesdays, January 7, 14 & 28, 4 to 5 pm

Open to Ridgewood Library cardholders. Grades 6-12.

SAT/ACT Practice Test: Huntington Learning Center

Presented by Huntington Learning Center. Spots are limited to 20. All testers must bring a fully charged laptop, calculator and water bottle. Registrants will receive their scores back on Saturday, February 7, 10 am at the Ridgewood Public Library. All testers are welcome to attend with their parents.

Meet the spirits of the forest, fly on a broomstick, travel the lands in a moving castle, or be spirited away as we watch Studio Ghibli films; it’s RPL’s own Studio Ghibli Fest!

Reading Marathon month was spectacular — now let’s celebrate! Meet and greet with graphic novel authors/artists in our Artist Alley. Visit the East Side Mags booth for some novelty toys and comics. Play some old school games at our Gamer Center, and cosplay with 501st Legion (Vader’s Fist), all while listening to music by the NJ Gamer Symphony Orchestra.
