Access Week 2025
SAFETY PROGRAM: 4-5PM
LOCATION: GRAYDON POOL PARKING LOT
Spec Wired, Ridgewood Police Dept., and Access Ridgewood have come together to offer a program designed to assist drivers with developmental disabilities. This event will educate and reinforce proper behavior during a traffic stop. All are welcome, no registration required.
SENIOR PROGRAM: 10:30AM- 12PM
LOCATION: ANNE ZUSY YOUTH LOUNGE IN VILLAGE HALL, 131 N. MAPLE AVE.
Discover ways to access and foster a greater sense of community and connection in your life with certified health coach and founder of IntentionThink IIN, Elise Merhige. Complimentary refreshments will be provided by Age Friendly Ridgewood.
FAMILY DINING: 5-8PM
LOCATION: STEEL WHEEL TAVERN, 51 N. BROAD ST.
Eat out with family and friends in a lower-sensory atmosphere. Enjoy a judgment-free experience, including dining with others who have similar support needs and being served by staff prepared ahead of time. Food and checks are expedited, and activities are provided to keep kids and others entertained during brief waiting periods.

Thyson T. Halley provides an interactive overview of ASL, from teaching emergency and basic conversation signs to exploring the rich history of deaf culture.

Celebrate individuals of all abilities as they display talent, ambition, & individuality. Refreshments and community fair in Village courtyard immediately to follow.

Families, friends and individuals from all walks of life are invited to join local community leaders from Ridgewood’s Interfaith Committee for an informal chat about the role of faith in the lives of people with disabilities.
