| This 1698 indenture or deed, records the purchase of land that became Ridgewood. It was preserved by the Van Emburgh family and donated to the Village of Ridgewood in 1922. The deed is handwritten on parchment and has signatures of local people, such as that of Albrecht Zaborowskji. |
